Sketch from today. It’s another original character of my friend. I just like to draw my friends’ characters to support whatever they are doing. It feels so nice to do something that might be memorable to others.

Today’s sketch is based on my friend’s original character. I’m trying to make a portrait for the character, so I’ll try to color this soon. Her name is Kidd and she got some awesome super powers. I just love her smile on this one! :)

The outfit from Girls of The Wild’s fanart I did earlier is quite contagious. Here I try to make an illustration of Mint, an original character of my friend. She’s a minotaur girl, using pastel colors to show her personality better.

Another sketch of my friend’s character. Still trying to develop various combat moves. I still don’t know about her fighting style or anything so I try to keep it general. :) I like to do these sketches just to motivate my friend to continue the series. Supporting people you know surely feels good.

Amazing world of gumball sketch that I did a few days ago. I love their expressions so much!

I’m feeling very glad to have the chance and enough mood to start drawing again today. Here’s the pencil sketch of an original character I created (and posted) before. See the post: How to Create Characters from Random Scribble. Well, I choose the middle one and decided to draw him in different pose.

Somehow I regret my decision on giving false highlights which could be seen on the final result. However, it was quite fine when it reached the copic coloring stage. Too bad I did not take picture before it went bad. This is what the final result looks from the back as the copic pass through the thin paper. I think it’s even better than the final result.

The final result of today’s doddle. Doodlebuffet Sketch 1 April. Lessons learned: Try to avoid using Derwent tinted charcoal with copic. The copic’s smoothness can’t match the roughness of tinted charcoal. Also, be careful in placing highlights as this final result doesn’t satisfy me. Maybe my coloring just plays April Fool’s Day with me!
